俳句・川柳・短歌を英訳

　 拙者が英語学習のモチベーション維持のために翻訳した俳句・川柳・短歌をまとめて掲載するでござる。翻訳する度に追加していくでござるよ。

また正岡子規や小泉八雲、ドナルド＝キーンらの文豪による英訳も俳句を英語にするとにまとめて掲載しているので見てくだされ。

松尾芭蕉

夏草や　兵どもが　夢の跡
Filled with smell of green grass,
My thought is driven to dreams of warriors,
Those who passed away in the battle

西行法師

あさましや　 いかなるゆゑの むくいにて
かゝることしも ある世なるらむ
How deplorable, By what retribution does such a thing occur
in the whole country?

正岡子規

夜更けて　米とぐ音や　きりぎりす
A hand of the mother washing rice and a katydid singing together, at home late at night.
